The DSP 600 is a networkable digital sound system processor with 2 analogue inputs, 2 digital AES/EBU inputs and 6 analogue outputs. With high‑resolution IIR filters and 512‑tap FIR filters, sophisticated loudspeaker protection and a multi‑stage delay concept, the DSP 600 sets new standards in the field of digital loudspeaker processing.
The dual‑core DSP topology and 48‑bit double‑precision calculation together with 24‑bit linear AD/DA converters offer highest quality audio performance. The dynamic range is more than 116 dB, THD is less than 0.002 %.
The DSP 600 signal processing structure can be configured as 2‑way stereo + full‑range, 3‑way stereo, 4‑way mono + fullrange, 5‑way mono + full range, 3‑way stereo with a mono sub + full‑range, 4‑way stereo with mono sub and low frequency and finally as a freely assignable 2 x 6 matrix router. The DSP 600 replaces entire racks of signal processors previously needed to properly configure and control sound reinforcement systems with a single Dual‑Core DSP processor.
The DSP 600 includes Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters for loudspeaker linearization at each output. Using FIR filters has many advantages, compared to using IIR filters, such as Bessel, Butterworth, etc. With FIR‑TUNE you get a perfect optimization of your loudspeakers, with an extremely linear frequency response, very high stop‑band attenuation, and linear phase system behaviour. Activating FIR‑TUNE is as easy as loading a FIR Speaker Setting into the output channel of the DSP 600.
The configuration and control of the DSP 600 is handled either directly at the device or with the help of IRIS‑Net via Ethernet and / or USB.
With the IRIS‑Net software, several DSP 600 processors can be configured and operated conveniently, together with other IRIS‑Net capable devices. The PC‑based software is also used for loading Speaker Settings, and lots of DYNACORD FIR Speaker Settings are included.
Direct‑access keys make it possible to edit parameters easily and quickly at the device itself. In all, 90 program‑storage locations are provided, of which 60 are dedicated to factory‑presets and a further 30 available for freely programmable user‑presets.
With the DSP 600 you get the flexibility of configuration to handle a multitude of audio system needs in various applications, e.g. installed sound, house of worship, convention & meeting facilities, concert touring, club, portable sound reinforcement and more.
