Introduction and application:
The Eml array is a 3-way active designed line array element.
It is designed to deliver high-quality reinforcement of music and speech in a variety of applications including concert audio and corporate A/V presentations of all types.
Product placement :
The EML-Array differs from line source line array designs (like Adamson Line Array ) in such way that due to the fact that the EML array uses wave formers instead of waveguides their is more vertical dispersion . We measured a 10° vertical dispersion . This means that the Eml array will work better in situations where vertical dispersion is needed. It will work best with angles between cabinets , so ideal for Delay , Out fill , large theaters etc.. In all situations where a line source line array (like Adamson ) is less efficient since their vertical dispersion is max 5°.
The EML-array will work less efficient with small or zero angles between cabinets , so it is less suitable for large flat venues,( where line source line arrays perform better.)
Since the low end is horn loaded and extended to 60 Hz , a minimum of sub is required for stand alone applications. When used as delay or out fill , no extra subs are needed.
In a stacked configuration, the Eml array will fit exactly on a S318 sub. The rigging points are designed to connect under a S318 .
Each EML-Array element has an impedance of 8 ohm, this means that we will need one (Ex HLA) top amp rack for 4 elements.
In clusters we will set the limit for 8 cabinets deep maximum, rigging and frames are calculated for 12 deep ,but since it is not a real long throw design we will not use many 0° angles.

Note : This product can compete with other array designs like Vertec and EAW and EV etc but since EML has always predict (and proven ) that we need real line source line array systems ,
for long throw applications , we will keep up with that philosophy and only use the Eml -array for productions where it is designed for. Outfilln, Delay, Large theaters , Stacked with a minimum of 3 elements per side.
The rigging system is integrated in the EML-array. Sidebars are used to link two cabinets where the back rigging sets the angles between the cabinets in 9 positions (From 0° to 8° max ) with quick release pins. The wheel dolly is attached to the front through two metal cylinders and locked with two quick release pins
