This best-selling digital multi-effector features reverb, delay, chorus, pitch change and a wide variety of other programmed effects.
This versatile processor is used in recording studios and for home recordings, and by keyboardists, guitarists and others as an instrument effector.
A good reverb unit, with delay, chorus, flanging, short sampling and pitch changing. It was the third affordable digital effect unit released by Yamaha after the D1500 digital delay and the R1000 digital reverberator.
It featured a MIDI interface for program changes so that effects could be swapped or controlled automatically. The onboard reverb and delays were praised for being good quality for the price, although the EQ wasn’t very great. One effect at a time, with the ability to also sample a 500ms long audio (“freeze”) to be edited and played back.
